OTHER TIPS
No matter what time of the year you visit London, make sure you visit as many parks as possible. We love Battersea Park, Kew Gardens, Richmond Park & Regent's Park. If you are staying East, check out Victoria and Greenwich parks. Oh, and if its summer, make sure you have a picnic (and a swim!) at Hampstead Heath
If you have contactless bank cards or Apple/Android Pay, use these for the London Underground instead of paying for a paper ticket. They tend to be cheaper and you won't need to line up for a machine
There are various gay parties that are held every week, such as Sink the Pink, Daddy Issues and Horse Meat Disco, so its worth checking the dates
For venues such as Sky Garden or West End musicals, we strongly encourage you to book weeks in advance, as they often can't be booked last minute
Borough market is the best food market in London, but we also love Mercato Metropolitano
If you plan on visiting places like The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey etc. it may be worth purchasing The London Pass which is cheaper than buying tickets individually
You are not expected to tip in London and service charge is often included in your restaurant bill
No matter the weather, bring a waterproof jacket or umbrella as unexpected showers are not uncommon
