• In the summer its great to take a bike ride around Vondelpark

• ​Amsterdam is amazing for Gay Pride, especially if the weather is good. Lots of parties along and on the canal as the parade floats past

• Don't miss Tropikali Festival which is held in the Summer, a musical journey, from Berlin to Rio, with a layover in Beirut

• Do NOT take photos or selfies in the Red Light District, as it is not allowed and you will be harassed if you do

• ​Check out Winkel 43 for the most famous apple pie. Always a line but totally worth it

• ​Definitely recommend the Anne Frank House however, tickets must be booked in advance or you can wait for daily ticket sales but wait times can be over 3 hours in line
